Early Life and Career
Woodrow Tracy "Woody" Harrelson was born on July 23, 1961, in Midland, Texas. He is an American actor and playwright. Harrelson made his film debut as an uncredited extra in the 1978 film Harper Valley PTA. His breakthrough role came as bartender Woody Boyd on the NBC sitcom Cheers, which aired from 1985 to 1993.
